Lacquer or Hardwax Oil?

Lacquer & Hardwax Oil are both very good finishes for your floor.
Lacquer creates a seal across the grain of the wood and gives more body to the finish, filling
up the grain and creating a film on top of the wood.
Lacquer probably requires less cleaning.

Oil sinks into the grain of the wood and gives a more natural appearance.
Oil is easier to repair isolated areas if neccesary, without sanding the whole floor. where this is not really possible with lacquer.
Oil is also non grain raising.

The choice is down to own preference of look really, they both offer excellent protection.
